You are under no obligation to proceed with any treatment, should you decide the particular treatment is not for you. Rest assured your safety is our top priority, and as such all Novaes nurses have undergone a strict training program with Juv’ae and continually attend further training to stay up to date with latest advances in practice and injection technique.
At Novaes, our contact with all our clients does not end after the treatment. During the post treatment phase we will be in contact with you to follow up on your satisfaction with your treatment. You will be given a direct mobile phone number to your injector. We encourage you to contact your injector immediately should you have any questions or concerns.
Whilst all steps are taken to minimise side effects, some of the below side effects could occur:
Eyelid drooping – Alhough rare, the eyelids may droop as a result of product migrating into the upper eyelid muscle. Product migration may also occur in other areas of the face.
Brow drooping – Known as ptosis, can occur when product migrates into a muscle not intended for treatment. This can create a temporary downward effect of the brow. Again, this is a rare side effect and can be avoided with the use of a particular injection technique and post treatment care.
Bruising – The face is a highly vascular region, meaning there are many tiny blood vessels in the face. These tiny blood vessels supply oxygenated blood to the tissues. Given the highly vascular nature of the face, at times the contact between the needle and blood vessel can sometimes occur. In this instance some minor bruising can occur. Rest assured, that specific techniques are utilised to avoid and minimise bruising.
There are some common side effects with dermal fillers which can include; swelling, brusing, tenderness and itchiness around the treated area. These side effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days.
In rare cases, discoloration and infection can occur. During your consultation you will be comprehensively briefed on what signs to look out for that may be of concern.
