ANTI-WRINKLE
INJECTIONS
Anti-wrinkle injectables are actually a purified protein that has been diluted many times and works by blocking the chemical signal that the brain sends to the muscle telling the muscle to contract.
Cosmetically, anti-wrinkle injections are commonly used to treat the forehead, frown muscle and crows feet. Other areas able to be treated include:
- Bunny lines (lines wither side of the nose)
- Upper lip wrinkles
- Gummy smile
- Downturned mouth
- Vertical neck bands
Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used for non-cosmetic purposes including:
- Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) under arms, palms and feet
- Migraines
- Jaw clenching/grinding (Bruxism)
Suitable for:
Anti-wrinkle treatments can be a great place to start for someone who is new to injectables; even minimal, targeted treatment can assist in achieving a naturally refreshed appearance.
Perfect for minimising the effects of ageing, anti-wrinkle is a popular treatment as part of a multi-modality full face approach or on it's own for subtle rejuvenation.
Not suitable for:
Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
Prior to treatment:
Avoid any chemical peels or skin needling for 7 days prior to receiving your anti-wrinkle treatment. On the day of consultation it is important that you advise us if you are taking any blood-thinning medications (e.g Aspirin, Warfarin, Clopidigrel). Please remove all make up on areas to be treated.
Post-treatment:
No rubbing or massaging of the injected area for 8 hours after treatment, including facials.
We also recommend:
- No strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
- Keep upright for 4 hours — no lying on your front.
- Avoid headwear that is tightly fitted across the forehead.
- Reduce excessive alcohol consumption for 24 hours post treatment
Results:
Clients can expect to notice results within 7 days and treatment to take full-effect within 2 weeks. Longevity varies between individuals, however you can expect effects to last approximately 3-4 months.
DERMAL FILLER
Dermal Filler is an Injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a natural substance found within our skin. As we age, we loose volume throughout our face and our facial bones become smaller. This results in a tired, deflated, sagging appearance particularly around the mid and lower face.
Dermal filler is used to restore volume loss and contour the face. They can also be used to enhance your facial features.
At Novaes Aesthetics, we pride ourselves on producing natural results. To us, natural means an undetectable, yet noticeably refreshed and rejuvenated result. After all, why would you want to have dermal filler, simply to look like you’ve had dermal filler? We strongly believe this defeats its purpose.
We only use the most premium brands of dermal filler. All of which are approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (ARTG).
Please know that your comfort during treatment is of most importance. Prescription strength numbing cream is used as required. Additionally, most of our dermal fillers contain numbing ingredients. This ensures your treatments are comfortable and well tolerated. It is our experience that most clients find their treatments much more comfortable than they were expecting.
Suitable for:
Dermal filler is commonly used to treat the following areas:
Temples - to add volume and structure reducing the appearance of temple hollowing
Tear trough - to treat hollowing in the under eye area.
Cheeks - to provide contour, and replace volume therefore supporting the mid face.
Nasolabial folds - to soften the lines that run either side of your nose down to your mouth.
Lips - to enhance your lip shape and add subtle volume as required. Shape before volume, always.
Chin - to add volume and definition to the chin and to improve facial profile
Marionettes/Jowls - to provide structure and support, reducing the appearance of the jowl area.
Jawline - to provide structure and enhance the side profile
Not suitable for:
Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
Prior to treatment:
- Avoid any chemical peels or skin needling for 7 days prior to treatment
- Avoid blood-thinning medications such as Nurofen or St Johns Wart for 48 hours pre-treatment
- Advise us if you are taking any medical necessary bloody thinning medications such as; aspirin or warfarin
Post-treatment:
Bleeding, bruising and swelling are to be expected post-treatment. This of course varies from person to person and depends on the area treated.
- Avoid any strenuous exercise and alcohol for 48 hours post treatment
- Do not apply pressure to the area
- Do not massage the area unless advised otherwise by Nurse Chris
Results:
You will notice effect of your dermal filler treatment straight away, however please keep in mind that your full result will be best at 3-4 weeks post treatment. After this time, the dermal filler has settled and integrated. Lumps and bumps may be noticeable until this time.

PDO MONO THREADS
Suitable for:
Polydioxanone (PDO) mono threads and synthetic absorbable suture material. These threads are placed beneath the skin and aide the production of collagen. This treatment is suitable for various areas of the face and neck that would benefit from skin tightening and thickening.
Not suitable for:
- Those on anti coagulants
- Those with a current infection or on antibiotics
- Pregnant of breastfeeding woman
Approximate treatment time:
30-60 minutes
Downtime/aftercare:
No downtime as such, however brusing and swelling is to be expected and dependent on the area to be treated.
Results:
Some effect is seen over 2-3 weeks post treatment with results continuing to improve over the following 3-6 months post treatment as new collagen is forming. Results last for up to 12 months.
PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)
Suitable for:
Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP) is a treatment that uses the clients own PRP. The plasma component contains stem cells and high concentrations of growth rich platelets. When injected into the skin, it accelerates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin to provide and overall rejuvenation of the skin.
PRP is suitable for treating:
- Face
- Skin around the eyes
- Neck
- Decolletage
PRP is also suitable for regeneration of hair follicles, in those experiencing hair thinning.
Not suitable for:
Women pregnant or breastfeeding

Downtime/aftercare:
For approximately 1-3 days post treatment you may experience mild redness, swelling and bruising.
Results:
We recommend a series of 2-3 initial treatments, 4 weeks apart. Results can then be maintained with 1 treatment per year.
BIO-REMODELLING
Suitable for:
The first of its kind bio-remodeller, is a high concentration Hyaluronic Acid (HA) injectables treatment which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into the skin this product stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness to the skin.
The overall effect is not only hydrated skin, but also also remodels ageing and sagging skin.

Minimal downtime, some redness may appear for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
